Business Philosophy
We've all heard of the Golden Rule -- most of us learn it as children. Mark Vilas has his own personal motto, which he calls the Platinmum Rule. It says, simply, "Treat The Customers The Way They Expect To Be Treated."
Personal Background
Being a real estate investor himself since 1987 has given Mark valuable experience in serving this type of client. he says, "The investor clients are a different breed altogether. Their goals are often different from those of the typical buyer, and their finances need to be handled differently too. For those reasons, it helps to have personal experience in real estate investing in order to be more empathetic to their needs."
Mark is a 3rd generation real estate agent, starting with his grandfather. His grandfather founded Dutro Realty in the 1950's, followed by Mark's father who started Vilas & Meister in the 1960's. Mark transitioned from Vilas in 2012 to join Coldwell Banker West Shell. His decision to do so revolved around the systems, tools and resources that are available to him from an International Company.
Mark is is lifetime resident of Cincinnati. Mark took an aptitude test at LaSalle High School, and learned to his surprise that real estate was a career he might want to considser. So, in 1980 Mark became licensed, and has been in realesatte ever since.
